  1. The US government has not recognized that it committed genocide against natives, nor have any European governments, that I've heard of, and nobody seems to be pressuring them to do so. Part of the issue surrounding the Armenian genocide is pressuring the Turkish government to publicly own it. That was one of the hurdles to them joining the EU. Meanwhile, nobody is forcing the British government to own committing genocide in the Americas, in Africa, in India, or in Ireland. Nobody is pressuring Spain to recognize its genocides in the Americas and Africa. I don't think Japan recognized that it committed genocide in China. Not many countries do what Germany did and outright say, hey we did this horrible thing and here's what we're doing to make sure it doesn't happen again and here are reparations to those we've harmed.
