  1.  @Irishhound  Fascism: ultra-nationalistic; pro military expansion; pro police expansion; anti-communist; anti-socialist; anti-union; anti-feminist; backed by business leaders and large land owners; backed by religious extremists; ... Republicans checked all those boxes years ago. And, lastly ... anti-democratic. Gerrymandering, disenfranchising, and the electoral college, already make the US less democratic than most other developed countries. Outright fighting against voters wishes, and 27% of Republicans saying Trump shouldn't concede, no matter what, is the final nail in going outright fascist.

Mein Kampf is a rant against Jews (who he blames for Marxism), social democracy (which he claimed was also Marxism), democracy (which he claimed leads to Marxism), and Marxism. He ran on National Socialism, which he defined as simply people working together for the good of the nation. If simply working together is "socialism", then almost everything humans do together is "socialism". He outright said Marxism had misused the word. He outright argued against the class struggle. He outright argued that National Socialism is on the side of private property. All his rich backers clearly understood he was running against unionism, socialism, and communism, but somehow you don't. Any pro socialism statements you think you read, wasn't any kind of left wing "socialism". It was right wing [National] "socialism". He kicked people out of the party, and killed people in the party, to prove it. "Fascism is the complete opposite of Marxian socialism." ~ Mussolini

  5.  @Irishhound  Losing special privileges, or status, doesn't equate to being persecuted. How do you think you're being persecuted? The government made slavery possible. The government made segregation possible. The government promised reparations to slaves. The government took reparations away from slaves and paid reparations to the slave owners. Whether your ancestors were around, or not, white guys were running the government, back then, and the government still owes a debt.
