So, you somehow didn't noticed the massive 2019 border crossing spike, that was more than double any year under Obama? And you somehow didn't notice that this wave surpassed any month under Obama, back in September? Averaged out, there were more border crossings per year under Trump than Obama.

The number hasn't broken the near 1m border crossings of 2019, that right media didn't talk about. This wave started back before September, and the right media didn't talk about it. Averaged out, Trump had more border crossings per year than Obama, but the right media hasn't mentioned that he sucked worse than Obama at protecting the border.

Never been this bad? Apparently you missed the statistics on how many border crossings there were under Reagan, Clinton, and the Bushes. Did the statistics you looked at show the large 2019 spike, the highest since Bush, that Republicans didn't seem to criticize Trump for, for some strange reason? Or, did you actually not look at statistics, and just believed your cult leader?

Getting yourself inside the country is actually part of the asylum process. You can only ask for asylum once you're in. If you actually wanted to make it safer, you'd have points of entry allow any asylum seekers in, and process them that way. Blocking them from coming in, will just send many of them across somewhere else.

What record? Total in a month, or something? Because it still hasn't surpassed Trump's 2019 year total, and definitely hasn't surpassed years under Reagan, Clinton, and both Bushes.

@axetune Sooo, because Reagan's 1.6m year followed a 1.2m year, and 2 1m years, and wasn't as big a jump, this is worse? The 2018 to 2019 jump was also huge, but I don't recall right wingers getting so upset with Trump.

@axetune Depends on how you're measuring whether something is "better", or not, I guess. Maybe he cares less about numbers, and more about even small improvements on processing time, which means less time imprisoned, and stuff like that.

@axetune According to border patrol, about 80% of that comes through ports of entry. Cartels tend to shove drugs up the ass of people that are legal crossers, and likely won't get apprehended, not poor people trudging across rivers and deserts and will likely get apprehended.
