@hibidder2001 The first Omicron death in the US was a reinfection of an unvaccinated person.

@justaguy6100 Oh, his audience will be getting smaller, with about 85% of deaths being unvaccinated.

@peterbruno657 All the unknowns about vaccines are also unknown about the virus. All the knowns about vaccines makes them far less of a risk than the knowns of catching covid.

@hibidder2001 Invent whatever you want. "The new report (Report 49) from the Imperial College London COVID-19 response team estimates that the risk of reinfection with the Omicron variant is 5.4 times greater than that of the Delta variant. This implies that the protection against reinfection by Omicron afforded by past infection may be as low as 19%."

@hibidder2001 I explain that you're using anecdotes, which are relatively useless. Texas also recently reported that 85% of deaths are unvaccinated, which is on par with the nationwide rate. That's a helluva a way to get permanent immunity.

@johns783 Well, Alberta is right next door to BC. It's full of kooks.

@sdfgjvnfgfkstjg The op literally said they didn't think he was a grifter, all while disagreeing with him. Do you have severe reading comprehension problems, or something?

@hibidder2001 “The death reported this afternoon was of a man between the ages of 50-60 years old who was unvaccinated and had been infected with COVID-19 previously,” Harris County Public Health said in a Dec. 20 news release. “The individual was at higher risk of severe complications from COVID-19 due to his unvaccinated status and had underlying health conditions.”

@hibidder2001 Whether they've been infected before, or not, those are the people the unvaccinated are willing to sacrifice to get their temporary natural resistance. At about 400k deaths a year, you're willing to sacrifice an extra 200+k people, for your temporary natural resistance.

@fraserbrowne1685 Thanks. No, anecdotes aren't weak because they aren't true. They're weak because they don't give you the big picture. His personal experience, even if true, still isn't a valid reflection of what's going on with the entire population.
2
@peterbruno657 Do you actually do the math on VAERS reporting? Even if you accepted every report as causation, rather than correlation, it would still show the vaccines to be far less dangerous than covid itself.

Only Kyle won't call out Rogan. Or Jimmy Dore, but he's a right wing grifter, himself.

@Guitarisforgrins Sure, but Alberta is the only province with a conservative majority.
1
@Guitarisforgrins You seem to be confusing pluralities for majorities. Alberta is the only province where conservatives get 50+% of the vote. The majority in other provinces vote liberal and ndp (and block for Quebec).
1
@Guitarisforgrins In Ontario, Conservatives got 34.9% of the vote in the 2021 federal election. In 2018, Ford won 31.25% of the vote. In what reality is either of those a majority?
