@lisahenry20 Yes, but that only might prevent a lab leak from happening again. Plenty of viruses have happened naturally. A better investigation would be to look into why the US response was so pathetic. If you can fix how to respond, then it wouldn't much matter how a virus originated. The covid mortality rates of countries who responded well, like Vietnam, S Korea, New Zealand, Australia, and some others, would translate into under 12k total US deaths. Covid only really became a pandemic because of all the botched responses.

@lisahenry20 Yeah, but we're already studying coronaviruses. Hence the lab leak theory.
