  1. The reality might be that the US has let things get so far out of hand that it's just no longer possible to get ahead of the virus and contain it. Going by a 1-2% mortality rate, you've likely actually got 4.5-9m people infected, with only about 800k accounted for. You'd quickly need some 20m tests, to get up to the testing rates of countries who have flattened their curves, through testing and containment. It's just too much. Maybe you guys should just go with the idiotic Swedish approach, at this point.
