@shlockofgod Fascism: ultra-nationalistic; pro military expansion; pro police expansion; anti-union; anti-socialist; anti-communist; anti-feminist; crony capitalists; backed by big business; backed by large land owners; backed by religious extremists; ... And, anti-democratic. Gerrymandering, disenfranchising, and the electoral college already make the US less democratic than other developed countries. 27% of Republicans not wanting Trump to concede, under any circumstances, Trump fighting against the vote, is checking the last box for overt fascism.

@runner6500 Dimwit. The original antifa was fighting against fascism in Italy, Spain, and Germany. Just saying people protesting, even rioting, equates to fascism, is beyond stupid. That would make every uprising in history "fascists", including colonial Americans protesting, rioting, tarring and feathering, destroying private property ... all because they didn't want to pay an extra tax specifically to fund the police/military. Removing what people are fighting for, from the equation, is idiotic.

@Xai Fascism includes what path you're following, and who benefits. Someone could argue that the government taking over corporations and businesses to enrich everyone is a "merger" of the two, but that's a different path, and benefits different people, than corporate oligarchs taking over the government to enrich themselves, which is the path fascism follows.

@shlockofgod I gave you the definition, as defined by its creator, Mussolini, which he wrote in the Italian Encyclopedia. "Fascism is the complete opposite of Marxian socialism" The Marxian ideal is a stateless, non authoritarian, socialism. The complete opposite of that would be an ultra-nationalistic authoritarian capitalism.

@runner6500 Because they want to bring about fascism? No, that'd be stupid to think. Because ... any protests ever, if violence sometimes breaks out = fascist brown shirts? No, that'd be stupid to think (the original antifa or iron front vs fascists had more instances of violence and the fascist brown shirts were clearly only on one side, and the original Civil Rights movement had more instances of violence than the BLM movement). Because ... you don't like them, therefore fascist brown shirts?
