@CeasiusC Bullshit. The US shifted totally right of centre with McCarthyism, the Cold War, Tea Party, etc. FDR was a centrist, and the progressives are shifting back to the actual centre.

@CeasiusC Zero politicians are calling for complete economic equality and an end of capitalism. Multiple politicians spew Ayn Randian far right nonsense. The US political spectrum is far right to centre-left.

@CeasiusC Since 1994 ... when the US was already well right? Pulling back towards a centrist new New Deal, that would be considered perfectly normal in other developed countries, that would have been considered perfectly normal in the 30s and 40s US, is pulling the US back to more normalcy. The lunatic right has spent decades destroying unions, returning to Gilded Age levels of wealth disparity, screwing up other countries out of a completely irrational fear of anything even remotely centre-left sounding. A nation nationalizes one resource, or tries to raise minimum wage from $1.50 to $2 a day, and they lose their minds. The "lunatic" left is centre-left in just about any other developed country. It's the US that's insane.
