  1. The electoral college isn't inherently unbalanced. The 1929 permanent appropriation act froze the number of seats in congress and the number of electorals along with it. There's also a 1941 bill that is supposed to calculate the electorals evenly, but the math seems broken. Theoretically, it should be easier to repeal those bills, and rebalance everything, rather than make a constitutional amendment to completely ditch the electoral college. If there's enough votes to amend the constitution, they should also merge the senate with the house. Let every state get their 2 equal votes on bills, but don't let the senate completely override the house, as a seperate body.
