@dwaynesmith8986 You're spouting nonsense. Vehicle mortality rates have dropped below firearm mortality rates. And you're ignoring the fact that a couple hundred million people drive about 3hrs a day, in public, on average. The vast majority of the time the vehicle gets from point A to point B without incident. If someone was shooting a gun in public for 3 hrs, odds are someone, or a whole lot of someones, would get shot.

@stephanielewis5595 You're the one comparing crashes to homicides, which is apples to oranges. Comparing overall mortality rates is apples to apples.

Vehicle mortality has dropped below 38k while firearm mortality is approaching 40k. https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/injury.htm Where'd you disappear to? If you think every suicide attempt is equally effective, then you're horribly mistaken. Firearms have over an 80% success rate, while pills and wrist cutting have under 2% success rates. Not sure what stupid nonsense you blathered about the UK.
