@thedarkenigma3834 Also, what "Protestant values" are you referring to? The Puritan Protestants claimed to be persecuted by mainstream Protestantism. Then they persecuted other Protestant denominations, like Quakers. Then the Puritan values died out, with more and more mainstream Protestant, and Catholic, arrivals. The founders based the constitution on the more secular notion of both freedom from, and freedom for, at a time when Protestants and Catholics were still persecuting each other in the British Isles and Europe. That clearly wasn't based on a particular religion, or denomination. Etc. With all the denominations, there is no singular set of "Protestant values". Pretending there is one set of "Protestant values" is like saying there's a single "white culture". It's pure nonsense.

nofybn7794 For those who pretend to fret about "replacement", it shouldn't matter, either way. If they were honestly afraid of "replacement", they should oppose all immigration and refugees. But, they're only actually afraid of certain people.

@thedarkenigma3834 Pretty sure that Latin America is largely European, African, and Native, just like the US. Also heavily Christian. Republicans should be more worried about less religious, pro union, centrists, from Nordic countries, if they're actually worried about "culture" (What is the US "culture", btw? That seems on par with saying that Europe has a single "culture", which is nonsense.).

@thedarkenigma3834 Pretty sure the Anglo-Saxons were actually defeated by the Normans, who reformed much of the way things were done. The US has had a big hand in the way numerous Latin American countries have turned out. The US has supported tons of fascist dictator types, over the years. So, they do represent "American culture".

@thedarkenigma3834 But, they aren't actually worried about "culture". They'll welcome illegal right wing white Cubans, even outright fascists. They'll welcome different cultures from white Europe. It's not "culture" they're actually worried about.
