@MichaelSmith-fj7di The electoral college isn't inherently disproportionate. It was the freezing of the number of house seats, in 1929, that has made it increasingly disproportionate. You get as many electorals as you have house seats. Repeal that 1929 act, and you can assign more seats to higher population states, which would likely be more Democrat seats, which would give them more electorals, and have a president elected more closely to majority vote.
