@laturista1000 Sure they do. They just like to playfully use math as a verb, sometimes. Yang, and his gangers, on the other hand, actually think this is how to make Amazon "pay their fair share"... No VAT: Amazon buys a product from a manufacturer for $100; Amazon sells the product to a consumer for $200; Amazon pockets $100 VAT: Amazon buys a product from a manufacturer for $100 + $10 VAT; the manufacturer sends $10 to the government; Amazon sells the product to a consumer for $200 + $20 VAT; Amazon sends $10 to the government; Amazon still pockets $100. But, since a VAT isn't actually a way to make corporations "pay their fair share", Yang's VAT/UBI scheme will only make the likes of Amazon and Bezos even richer.
