@Mic-healDay Right, the covid mortality rate is about 2x higher than the polio paralysis rate, and 20x higher than the polio mortality rate ... and it's a lot more contagious than polio. They are quite different.

@mojojojo560 Exactly the truth. Covid has about a 1% mortality rate, which is 1 in 100. 1 in 200 polio cases results in paralysis, which is a 0.5% rate (1% is 2x 0.5%). Polio paralysis results in death 5-10% of the time (I even used the high end), which is a 0.05% rate (1% is 20x 0.05%). Let me know if you need help with any other math problems.

@YoungPiK1 All you told me is that you, and your likers, failed grade school math. The covid mortality rate is about 1%, which is 1 in 100. Can you work the rest of the math out yourself, or do you need help?

@YoungPiK1 I'm talking about the infection fatality rate, just like with polio. The unvaccinated covid rate has been estimated at about 1%, pretty much from the start. Studies have supported about a 1% infection fatality rate in developed countries. You don't have to make guesses based on case fatality rates which are constantly changing and will go down in countries with higher vaccination rates. It's about 1%. You: If we don't count these people I don't give a crap about, then the rate is much lower. Australia's covid death rate would translate into 26k total US covid deaths. That's over 700k people you don't give a crap if they die. There are also now 120k orphaned kids, in the US. But, hey, I'm sure that doesn't affect kids, at all.

What were the major advancements in modern living, between 1950 and 1960, when the polio rate plummeted in the US, which is coincidentally when the vaccine came out? How does it also seem to happen in developing and undeveloped countries, coincidentally with increasing vaccinations?

@docvaliant721 Rofl. I know about polio, just fine, thanks. You didn't answer my questions. Refigeration and plumbing had been around for over a century, by 1950. What were the specitic major advances, between 1950 and 1960, that coincidentally happened at the exact same time as the vaccine rollout, which caused polio rates to plummet? How did the same thing coincidentally happen, at the exact same time as polio vaccine rollouts, across the world? This has to be one of the most amazing chain of coincidences ever recorded. The main Salk vaccine worked just fine. There was an incident where a manufacturer made an error, but that wasn't something inherently wrong with the vaccine. The Salk vaccine doesn't use live virus samples, it uses dead ones, so can't give you polio. It is absolutely impossible for it to give you polio. How did you become so "well informed" and totally miss that major fact? Yeah, nah, mRNA vaccines don't change your dna.
