that applies to all european countries... urbanization fomo trend has been so strong. germany is a bit exception that they have big population for their land area so not everyone can live in Berlin and perhaps they smart way allow policies to choose vibrant cities all over country. UK does opposite, everything outside London seems dead or struggling economically and also ignored in this regard.

@mitonaarea5856 I agree.... what Ive seen of Portugal different topics, bringing more people to structurally economic bad situation just escalates things like in London region... it just shifts problem away from statistics to other kind of statistics. eg Lisbon housing prices is very similar as London problems.

how easy "shortcut" route to nationality do those have? coz top tier sports is niche of niche in that many countries pave extra VIP paths for those exceptional people as football is so important sport in those countries... doesnt mean it applies to average person. Jamal now playing for germany is very interesting case study, he seems one of those super exceptional players like Maradona(hard to compare eras but exceptional nonetheless).

I wonder has someone found trend in history that without crisis (plague, war etc) people would move out of cities back to countryside for economic reasons. 1900s this was done in europe and soviet union by heavy incentive structures but Im wondering "natural" ie more free market way that there truly was opportunities there.

europe (central europe) is overpopulated so incase some supply and pricing of critical human needs products changes, they are in trouble like electric price winter 2022/23. we are likely to see shocks like that more.

I looked some chart of natural resources in southern europe (middle europe too, france,germany, UK) and this is totally in line with that.

that is everywhere in europe, except post soviet countries, which im not as familiar with (+ those have more changes, ups and downs recent decades)

@lioneldemun6033 small towns are where its at... same here, those who found job and live there have plenty of kids. the closer to big city downtown you are, the higher income must have and thus unlikelier it is. What jobs do people there have? Here at least people either work from home to big city downtown company or drive upto 100km to office/other job.

@theteamxxx3142 italy is in better place... whole mediterranean to ship anything from lot of places... germany doesnt have that (in mass scale you would need eg energy imports, via rivers only through europe as mostly landlocked country).. quite surprising italy is 2nd in industrial power as that is never mentioned in media... I just saw motorsport related tv series (1970s motoracing) and Italian companies are there big.

@tomvlogs8463 I see many big investment projects going on in romania.... some people who live there say same, it is quite booming economy now (one I saw is some giant NATO airbase being built; lot of other industries too)
