  1. On the subject of ownership - couldn't agree more. Many moons ago, I was hauled into the office and given a disciplinary for micromanaging not only members of my own team, but other teams. Immediately, my response was "I wholeheartedly disagree that micromanaging has been happening, but that doesn't invalidate the feelings of whoever might have complained. So looking at things from their perspective, THIS is what I'm going to do to put things right." I wasn't a manager then, but I am now.

  2. Rob, what's the best way to get in contact with you? I too have had ups & downs, and carry my own demons around that I'm slowly trying to rid myself of. I also have shared access to a kid. I'm also a Software Development Manager, and if I can in any way help you progress into the industry, I'm happy to do so.
