  1. My inference, the pedestrian has precedence... and while they continue to walk in the same direction... I see no issue with driving "behind" them (subject to safe distance and speed, such as when passing a pedestrian on a single track lane). However, if they choose to turn around and walk back, then an offence may arise if I have driven into the limits of the crossing. But is it worth the risk (of harming another person) if I screw this up? Probably not.
