Comments by "John Brereton" (@johnbrereton5229) on "Post Brexit inflation is making UK "sick man of Europe" | Economics | The New Statesman" video.
So this commentator tells us the UK economy is forecast by the OECD to fall next year. However, he doesnt tell us that the UK economy was the fastest growing economy in the G7 last year AND this year too. Yes, he is right to say it will fall next year, but he fails to reveal that its predicted to rise again soon after. Also since Brexit UK exports to the EU have increased, and are now higher than they have ever been when we were members. The UK is also predicted to overtake the German economy by 2040. Which brings me to his first point 'The sick man of Europe' yes, at one time the UK was called this. But then so were many other economies, including the Germans !

@eyeli160 Its not 'cherry picking' it's the data and predictions from the IMF and OECD as well as the ONS . Also all countries economies sunk due to Covid, not just the UK.

@OptimisticHominid Yes, you are right ! The UK economy is predicted to fall next year after being the fastest growing for two years running. However, it is also predicted to bounce back soon after and over take the German economy by 2040, and as you say, the don't just make this up !

@OptimisticHominid After being taken ilegally into the EEC/EU in 1972 and having our economy and Sovereignty restricted and confined for 50years, yes it will take another 50 years to repair it at the current rate. However, let's hope it is supercharged by our new MP and its achieved far quicker.
