English troops? The majority of the British forces in Singapore were Indian and Commonwealth, British troops were in the minority, there were no specifically 'English' troops.

@markgorhk The point I am making is that, there hasn't been an English army since 1707. Therefore, these troops were British troops and contained soldiers from all across the British isles and its Empire.
