@kieranhurley3027 Yes it is, Ireland is geographically one of the 6,000 islands of the British isles. Though politically no longer part of the British state. Just as the British isles geographically are a part of Europe but politically are no longer a part of the European Union.

@maxrebo8455 Of the 6,000 islands that make up the British isles the Roman's called the largest Britania Magna (Great Britain) and the second largest Britania Parva little Britain (Ireland).

@maxrebo8455 Yes indeed, as do many Irish have English ancestry. Even famous Irish people like Oscar Wilde, W.B.Yates, Daniel Day Lewis, Conor McGregor, Bram Stoker, George Bernard Shaw............
