More like Rommels nervous shuffle in front of a table.

More importantly, Rommel was recieving all of the American messages broadcast from Egypt, detailing all British strengths and weaknesses. After that, it's easy to be a true 'strategist and tactician'.

Sturgeon is as usual, talking nonsense ! Boris's Oven Ready Deal was the Trade that he negotiated and signed in 2020. The NI protocol was negotiated by Treason May in 2017.

@danteardenz2670 Of course he did, he was Hytlurs golden poster boy and all those pictures of him standing resolute were all carefully posed.

@danteardenz2670 It wasn't just a case of 'presenting himself well' though. He had a N4zi photographer and writer following him around and taking flattering pictures together with a crafted script extolling the virtues of the aryan race. This was all part of Geobells propaganda campaign, it wasn't just his own personal grooming 'presenting himself well'. However, if you cut away all this propoganda he certainly was a competent and resourceful commander, but not quite the tactical genius he was portrayed as. In fact, after Bonner Fellers leaks dried up and General Montgomery arrived, he never won another battle.

@danteardenz2670 Rommel was so busy retreating he left his allies the Italians to cover his rear and be captured. His win at Kasserine was due to Anerican inexperience, nothing to do with his prowess as a commander. When he heard Montgomery had caught him up he returned to his defensive position t the Mareth gap but was soon on the run again as Monty broke his line. He was then airlifted back to Germany so he wouldnt be there when his comrades surrendered. Nevertheless, more Germans surrendered there at Tunisia than at Stalingrad and guess who hung out longer and were last to surrender? It was the much abused Italians !

@danteardenz2670 I'm not superior to Rommel and never claimed I was. However, your obvious hero worship means you can never really be objective in your assessment of him. I'm merely repeating the facts and they don't lead one down the path that you have taken.

@danteardenz2670 Yes indeed, Rommel did have many critics within the German military. This was not helped by Hytlur promoting him as a body guard during the Poland invasion. This close connection to Hytlur allowed him to influence his promotion to lead a Panzer division above the heads of more senior officers. Rommel was actualy an infantry officer, so for him to be promoted across regiments into the Panzers annoyed many more experienced officers hoping for promotion themselves. It was after this that Hytlur picked him out as a poster boy for the 3rd Rich, which also alienated him from other officers.
