Yes, but not just any human, a sublime human.

This reminds me of George Harrisons song "My Sweeet Lord" which he was taken to court over copyright. A claim was made saying it was copy of the 1960s hit "He's so fine" by the Chiffons. However, George said he had actualy wanted to write a song praising the Indian god Chrisna and based it on the 17h century hymn "Oh happy Day" written by an English clergyman to praise the Christian god. Yet though this song is so old its not copyrighted Harrison lost the case, despite the Chiffons admitting that their song was also based on it. Nevertheless, when you consider that all music is based on the 8 note octave there are bound to be repetitions.

My own musical journey was very similar to yours. I grew up in a none musical family and was first attracted to my sisters early Beatles music. I progessed into folk music through Donovan and that led me to Pentagle and John Renbourn. It was through Renbourn that I discovered the Renaissance music of John Dowland, Willian Byrd etc and the later Baroque music of Henry Purcell. All geniuses that 500yrs later can still move us to tears with their sublime music.
