@Spectrexxxxxx Britain is in fact a country ! All the former nations of Britain united under the Scottish Stuart dynasty as one united Kingdom after the 1707 Act of Union. England had resisted this for 100 years, not wishing to lose their ancient Kingdom, but finally agreed in 1707.

@Spectrexxxxxx Scotland along with England stopped being separate countries after the Act of Union abolished both and created the United Kingdom of Great Britain. That's why you can't get a Scottish or English passport only a British one. Since the 1707 Act of Union our nationality is British not Scottish or English. We might both not like it, but it's a fact.

@Spectrexxxxxx Well then, you seem to be now agreeing with me, Scotland (like England) is not a seperate independent country. Though there is no need to be rude about it, as it's obviously not as clear cut or as understood as you claim.
