  1. Toyota is right, while naive politicians who know no nothing about engineering are talking nonsense! Even the EU has announced they are extending the cut of period for ICE vehicles. Why ? Because reality has overtaken their rather naive wishful thinking. EVs aren't as environmentally friendly as claimed, nor are they practical. Battery technology needs decades to develop before it's even close to taking over from ICE vehicles. Plus the fact that ICE vehicles do not damage the environment anywhere near as much as claimed, while EVs pollute far more !
