The EU pr system does allow a wider opinion amongst their electorates representatives. However, these MEPs have absolutely no power whatsoever so what's the point ? The only reason they are there is to convince the naive that the EU is democratic, but it's not !

@misterteaification No it wasn't ! The most important reason for Brexit was Sovereignty and MEPs had absolutely no influence on that, let alone Laws or anything else. Because they are completely powerless, all the power lies with the unelected Commission and all the denials and obfuscation in the world won't alter that fact.

@rnanerd6505 If MEPs are so powerful how come, unlike a British MP they cannot propose or ammend any legislation and are only allowed minutes to speak. This is all designed so that they don't have any power. They are only there to convince the naive that the EU is democratic, but they are demonstrable not, and no amount of lies can alter that obvious fact.

Immigration was a major cause of Brexit and the Conservatives massive win at the last election. Yet, despite this, they have betrayed voters on both issues. Our Govenmental classes need a wake up call. We the electorate are the Sovereign power and it is us who must be obeyed, not the unelected globalist elite who they are currently serving.
