@DaleSteel VAT is an EU tax at 20% standard rate and yet despite leaving we still pay it ?????? How many Brits spend more than 3 months in Europe ? Even my French wife doesn't. This would all confirm that all the previous comments that we never really left are correct and you are wrong.

@altoseb Yes exactly , and they are not the only ones. Perhaps, it's because we are white we can't be indigenous? Even though we provable are .
13
I don't see any British nationals taking any of the top jobs in India or indeed any other country, so why here, where you can turn up one day and be running it the next ?
13
@AKAtAGG Not necessarily, the MSM only reports what they want you to hear to push a certain narrative not about what actually happens.
13
Also to add to what you have said, Colston was not a slave trader, he was a Merchant like his father and grandfather before him. Only I his later life did he buy shares in the RAC so he could trade in African goods which happen to include slaves, just as they do today.

@davidsingh2394 India was on it's way for Independence long before WW2. Though Gandhi wanted it to become a self governing British protectorate, not full independence. This was probably because he knew India wouldn't survive as a single country containing Muslims and Hindus, which necessitated Partition. So the British didn't kill 4million, Independence did.

No Tarquin, this is obviously a book of fiction, so the authour wouldn't include Shirley Bassey, she is a real person who really exists.

A nation usualy takes its name from the country they were born in. Therefore to call ourselves British because we all live in Great Britain or one of the 6,000 island that make up the British isles is indeed correct. I myself am a proud Englishman, but I am also proud of being British too, just as the other countries in Britain also are. Even my passport says British, it's where I was born and my family goes back centuries and not just in England itself but from all over the British isles, therefore I am most definitely British !
12
Yes that's true, but our 'English' diverse national team is always losing. Yet when the English woman's team actualy won, people claimed it was far too white. 🤔
12
If asking these questions makes you 'A little Englander' Simon. Are the Indian, Pakistani and numerous other countries Governments, little Indians ect? Because you only ask the question, they enforce this reasoning by not having any foreigners in their Governments at all.
12
@13strange67 I don't think Enoch Powell considered himself Welsh, he was after all born in Birmingham to two English born parents, though his father was of Welsh decent. Therefore, just like most of us British people, we are all connected in one large British family.
12
@mangomasheen2324 Yes you are right Mango, only long dead African slaves seem to matter. Yet slavery continues in Africa today and is larger than ever, but white men aren't involved, so it's not mentioned. In fact the Transatlantic Slave trade has become THE slave trade. Though in Europe itself the Vikings were Europes largest slave traders trading white Europeans buf they are not mentioned. Or the Asian slaves still today in China and parts of the Indian subcontinent, they don't count apparently. This isn't really about slavery, it's about attacking Britain, even though we banned slavery throughout our vast Empire, but again that's not mentioned.

How long before they claim that the 5,000 year old Cashel man discovered in an Irish bog was really a blackman and that Nial of the 9 hostages was also a black irish chieftain or Newgrange was built by ancient black Irishmen. This all sounds too rediculous, untill you realise it's already happening here in Britain.
11
No need, you still owe us for all the infrastructure we built for you, as well as our legal and democratic systems we donated, and not forgetting the English language. All these enabled you to become the successful country you are now. All these assets are helped by the £billions we continue to send you and we even provide employment for many of your countrymen like Fishi Sunak and Sadiq Khanage to name just two. No need to pay us back though we did it all for ❤ 😂😂😂😂😂😂

@martinjackman2943 Chinese Communism has many similarities with German National Socialism and they all evolved from Maxism.
11
@patrickkyle4601 Yes true, but even the bible contains passages instructing the believer to commit violent acts. However, we ignore them, while the followers of Islam obey them to the letter.
11
I was very surprised to hear you say three London Police stations were set on fire. This is because Mayor Khan the London dictator has closed them all down, that's why policing is so 'improved' in London. However, then you remarked that they were all closed down after being sold off, now that does sound more like Khan the profiteer we all know and loath . 😮

Im English and proud of it. According to my own genealogical research I have traced it back to 11th century Cheshire and later from 16th century Ireland until the 19th century back in England. Therefore, I am Anglo- Irish and this was confirmed by my DNA results that put me at 97% Northern European, mostly English but with Irish ancestors from Cork, then Normandy, Britanny and Scandinavia.
11
Is this the same reason we have immigrants running Britain, London Mayor, Scottish FM, Welsh FM and many Mayors and councils up and down the country, just to allow them an easier opportunity ? What happened to merit ?
11
Very interesting and informative as usual Simon. But just because the Government decrees that we do things, it doesn't mean we all obey. Last year at Xmas we were banned from visiting relatives, but I like many others took little notice and proceeded to do what we had planned. Also, many refuse to get vaccinated, and disobey other Government diktats. I always follow the general rule that: 'Laws are for the guidance of the wise, and the obeyance of fools' Or the enslaved, as Pitt would have classed them.

New Irish, New Gernans, New Brits or just more uninvited foreigners !
10
@Oatcake Sorry oatcake, but whether you support the Tories or not, you have to admit their party is not the scrapping of the barrel like Labour now is. In the past, the Labour party was full of decent ,moral and intelligent members, alas no longer.
10
Perhaps it's intended only for the Woke staff to watch. Then they can all sit back and congratulate each other.
10
No, it was Blackslap ! 😁
10
All these years I thought that King James I was Scottish, from the Scottish royal house of Stuart. But now its seems that he was really de King Jambo from the royal house of Khatanga ! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

NO ! Most Definitely NOT ! Begum should return to her homeland Bangladesh just as her father has. The accident of birth does not determine a persons national identity as perfectly illustrated by Beguns actions.
9
Or perhaps Simon's main critic has finally realised that Simon is right. The evidence he produces to justify his claims are in the end indisputable.
9
@jimjones-bk2is So does the UK, it's the oldest in the world and the American one is based on it.
9
@johnmulderrig3234 It's also evidenced in the Republic where anti British propaganda is propagated despite many Irish people still having a positive regard for Britain. Yet all you hear about is the opposite opinion, buts far from being universal.
9
Lammy is the pefect 'Foreign' Secretary, he holds a Guyanan passport, how is this even possible ? Its a prefect example of the folly of 'positive' discrimination in place of merit or nationality. In the real world there is never anything positive about discrimination of any kind, particularly when the person in question holds divided loyalties.
9
As I understand it, TR did not commit contempt of court for not turning up to court as you claimed. The court date was a brief preliminary hearing where only his counsel was supposed to attend to discus the date and details of the actual case.
9
Yes indeed, in fact many books of fiction are very popular.
9
Spike Milligan was British from 1918 untill 1962 when the law changed for Commonwealth citizens. After applying he was denied British citizenship due to refusing the oath of allegiance. He was then stateless, untill he applied for irish citizenship which he was granted due to his father being Irish. Due to Ireland once being a part of the British state for centuries, an irish passport gave him almost as much rights as a British one.

I know a Polish lady who works as a British judge, which I didn't believe could be true when I was first told, yet alarmingly it apparently is.
8
'Thatcher being very unpopular? Is that why she kept being re- elected !
8
In New Zealand the Maoris replaced the indigenous population around 800 years ago and now are regarded as indigenous and no one would dare question this. Yet the English have been here at least 1,500 years ago and probably far longer. The major part of an Englishmans DNA is also from the Celts so all the peoples of these islands are most definition indigenous.
8
@TruthShallSetYouFree2023 There are plenty of intelligent and suitable Brits for these positions. However, they are denied the opportunity due to a policy of 'positive' discrimination.
8
Religions rise from the cultures that create them, violent male dominated cultures create a religion that reflects that. Christianity was also created in a violent male dominated society. However, after it arrived in Britain we moulded it to our more gentle and forgiving culture.
8
Similar quotes go back a very long time, in ancient Greece and even in the bible.
8
@SterileNeutrino You pretend to know not only about Evolution but also what people think, but you obviously don't know either.
8
@paulbadics3500 My partner was shocked when we went to brick lane in the east end of London and the road signs were in Urdu.
8
@AWalkontheWildSideBlackpool It's the UK Governments fault for wasting millions on translating all their documents into endless different languages. I think the French have it right, if you want to live in France, learn French ! Sounds reasonable to me.
8
In Rochester Kent a few years ago I saw a black lady Morris dancing, this was groundbreaking for two reasons. First women traditionally arent allowed to Morris dance, and secondly many of the Morris dancers had traditional blackened faces. Neither of which seem to bother this lady in the least, nor anyone else watching them.
8
@47Seagull Do you also have a split personality and dont know who you really are ?
7
In South Africa during the Boer war 100,000 Africans fought on the side of the British against the Dutch descended Boers, why you might ask ? Because the Africans wanted British rule to extend to the Dutch controlled areas because it would give them greater rights. South Africa became self governing in 1934 and Apartheid was introduced after WW2 in 1948 after the descendants of the Boers, now known as the Afrikkans took over the whole colony.
7
How can this 'England' team really be considered English? More than half the players are not English. Despite mass uncontrolled immigration, the English still constitute 80% of the population yet the team that is supposed to represents them are not drawn from their ranks. Imagine the Chinese, Indian or Nigerian team composed of obvious foreigners? It just wouldn't be allowed.
7
@johnemery7787 Careful John, if they have suntan and a chip on their shoulder, they might get you sacked. Even if they don't even have a ticket. 😳
7
A few years ago I was delivering leaflets in south London. I noticed down the little access roads at the back of the houses and sometimes on the side they all had a garage. However, none had the usual garage door they had instead all been replaced by a smart door and an adjoining window. On these smart doors was a house number but they were obviously not houses, I remember thinking then that these were illegal housing, yet they were quite blatant, with no attempt to hide the fact.
7
@guest6398 Well there's hardly anything called Palestine now, that's for sure. However, the Palestinians are the original semitic peoples of the region. Islam is only their religion, many were originally Jews.
7
I was born in London in 1950 and didn't see a black man until I was about 5years old. I remember pointing at him in astonishment and being told off by my mother for being rude. These days in London it's more astonishing to see a white man, it's obviously deliberate race replacement.
