The EEC was a Nazi idea for a pan European dictatorship first put forward in the 1930s. In 1938 a Nazi delegation discussed it in Rome with their Fascist allies. In 1942 a further conference was held in Berlin where all the leading Nazis in their various fields spoke and a glossy book titled the Eurospaisch Wirtschafts Gemeinschaft was printed containing all their speeches and with a forward by Walter Funk head of the Reichsbank. After the war, these proposals were discovered by the Americans who reserected them and the Nazi Walter Hallstein eventualy signed the treaty of Rome that brought the EEC into being and became its first President of the Commission. Hallstein had of course also been in Rome previously with Hitler in 1938. The EEC is the English translation of the original Nazi name and all its aim are the same as laid down in their original book. Hallstein was first know as the founding father of the EU, but when it was pointed out his Nazi past, Schumann took this role. Neither are saints, in fact far from it !
