  1. My father also joined the Territorial Army and has a number of medals. Though none were issued just for being a Terrier, they were all combat medals. He joined the Territorial army in 1937 and fought under Montgomery in the Battle of France, Dunkirk, North Arfrica,Sicily, Italy and Austria. None of his medals were issued just for attending as Cleverly and Dicks were. These medals are meaningless and devalue the medals of those who actualy fought for their country.
