History Debunked

It's only by questioning facts that we can be assured that they stand up to scrutiny and are really true. So to deny any scrutiny of one episode in history only leads to people to believe it's not true. Why would they not like it to be scrutinised if its really is robust evidence of the true facts ? This is exactly the opposite of what they were trying to achieve, but is the consequence of banning free thought and speech.

@aqua5680 No, this doesn't particularly 'float my boat' any more than any other subject. However, the Holocaust was the subject of this video, and so I'm commenting on it. Nevertheless, nothing should be beyond scrutiny and re-evaluation, in fact why would you ban people from having a counter opinion ? If there opinion is wrong it can quickly be proved wrong by scrutiny, not banning them from expressing it. It's a very normal an established occurrence for acedemics to question and re-evaluate historical events if new information comes up. Like in 'The Emergence of the English' by Dr Susan Oostenhuizen. Who disputes the Anglo Saxon invasion of Britain and the annihilation of the ancient Britons. Also, you should certainly be able to question anything written by the Nigerian 'historian' David Olusogo who blatantly inserts black characters into British history for propaganda purposes. Why is it quite acceptable to question any of these historical event, but not the holocaust?
