PM Gorden Brown sold Britain's world leading nuclear research programme to France....... and then had to employ the French using our own nuclear knowledge to build a new British nuclear power stations. He also sold Britains electric supply company to the French government owned EDF, how clever ! In 2006 UK Government owned BnF sold it's two most important assets to the USA and Toshiba. The UK once a world leading nuclear power and the first country in the world to develop Nuclear generators, 1st opened in the 1950s now has none of it's own. I also remember when one of our last coal fired power plants was decommissioned and the huge generators were loaded on a lorry and driven to German where they were being installed in a new German coal fired power station. Britain really has been governed by short sighted half wits, who are driven by ideology rather than intelligence or any far sighted vision.

@williamtell6750 And why did Gormless Broon sell our gold off at the bottom of the market ? He even announced his intentions beforehand thus lowering the price further. Why? In order to bolster the euro, a currency we were not involved in and would never use. How did such a genius end up in Government and become Chancellor of the Exchequor ????????
