The so called 'Anglosaxons' who actually called themselves Gewissas not Anglo Saxons. It is believed that the word Gewissas is Brythonic for hill fort and the people were Anglo- Brythonic rather than Anglo- Saxon. So the Arthurian legends actually do belong to them too.

@roberthudson3386 Yes, there is lots of further reading on this subject. Alfred the Great was descended from the founding king of Wessex who was Cerdric, which is a Brythonic name as was his son Cynric. In Mercia, the related the Hwicce people are also thought to be of Brythonic origins as was their King Cædwalla who's name is also Brythonic. Barbara Yorke: Kings of Early Anglos Sacon England.
