@BusbyTreeSurgery The British isles consist of 6,000 seperate islands, the largest or greatest is called Great Britain. Ireland is the second largest. Brittany was known as Little Britain.

@sanderson9338 Ogham script was used all over the British isles, not only in Ireland. It's belived it may have originated from Latin or even Germanic runes as their are many similarities. Like the Rök runestone in modern day Sweden as well as in Orkney isles in northern Britain. In mainland Britain the Old English used another variation called Futhorc runes Also In Wales there are 4th century bilingual examples of Ogham alongside British Latin.
