It's strange than in England it's now offensive to be English ! This is illustrated in another recent news report about English footballers in Hungary where they were greeted by monkey noises? The player in question was 26 year old Raheem Sterling, who though playing for England is in fact Jamaican? Though I don't support vile racist chanting, I do wonder how a Jamaican, or indeed any other foreign nationality, can be representing England ?

@winco68 Yes I agree, why shouldn't the Hungarians be proud of their culture, just as we should. However, taking the knee to a foreign convicted criminal is nonsense, and has nothing to do with football.

@blondejon5538 Yes you are right there Blond Jon and do you know how they overcame such destruction? They worked hard and rebuilt their countries, just as we and most of Europe did after 2 world wars. None of our young men ran away and illegaly entered another country in a rubber dinghy in order to benefit from the hard work of their own young men.

@johnroberts6116 Premier clubs just want to win at any cost, and so they tour the world with an open check book and buy up the best available. Long gone are the days when local lads would be trained locally and play for their local teams. Nowadays, the only local thing about the clubs is there name.

@winco68 Yes indeed, charity begins at home, if you dont care for your own family, your own village, your own country you are doomed.

@ellismeah5127 Though advertising in the UK would lead you to believe mixed race relationships are very common, in fact they are not. Currently only 7% of people are in a mixed race relation ship in the UK. The adverts are just more Woke nonsense advertising a world they want to evoke rather than the reality.
