  1. Even the term Anglosaxon was quite a late addition. Though as Catherine Hills the senior Anglo Saxon expert at Cambridge University said in her book the 'Origins of the English'. The first logical starting point of English origins here in Britain goes right back 10,000 years ago long before the A/S. We don't call the French the Frankish Gauls or the Germans the Teutonic Celts so why the English ?
