Yes, of course police officers on the beat deter crime, but only proper policemen. Unfortunately, Britains new Woke leaders have reduced all the requirements to become a police officer. So instead of tall burly ex soldiers, we now have very short people who lack the necessary physical or moral authority to do their job successfully. In London Metropolitan police force they are more likely to hire someone to fill their endless diversity quotas, rather than someone who is capable of doing the job.
