The British Imperial Army, just like the ancient Roman Imperial army, has always employed troops from all around their Empires. Therefore, many of their victories were won by soldiers who were not British or Roman but does that mean they were not British or Roman victories ? Of course they were, once they were fighting for Britain or Rome they became their Army, why else were they even there ! Both Empires led them, equipped, trained and the objective was also theirs. And If you leave any of these facts out of the equation, these victories would not even have been fought, let alone won.
