  1. Strange that this man visited NI in 1845 to lecture about the abolition of the slave trade. When here in Britain slavery was banned in the 12th century and the African slave trade in 1807 and slavery its self in 1837 ? Of course in the USA it wasn't banned untill 1865 but segregation continued right up until the 1960s. So he was lecturing to the already converted here in Britain and NI, unlike the USA, never had any African slaves ?????
