I come from a white English family, and was always brought up to judge people on their character and merit, not skin colour. I was told discrimination is racist. Surely Pritti Patel knows this, so why insist people be judged solely racially, bypassing anyone of merit if they are white? We are being marginalised and made 2nd class citizens in our own country by those we welcomed here as immigrants.

@lovejoypeace6174 I never said Pritti Patel was an immigrant herself, but she is the first of her family to be born here in the UK. So she is from immigrant stock, her family came from Kenya via India.
