Slavery was not big in England in the 18th century, in fact it had been banned since the 12th century. It was big in Africa though and when British traders were offered slaves they started trading in them too, untill we banned it throughout our Empire in 1807. However, in Africa it still continued, in fact today their are more slaves in Africa than there have ever been. Yet no one wants to help them, all we hear about is Reparations for those long dead Africans, but no other nationalities who were also enslaved.
