Islam is a comparatively new religion and many of its followers are uneducated and take what they are told literally and some justify their actions by Islamic scriptures. As Christianty is so much older, its followers behaved in much the same way back in history when they too were uneducated and took the bible seriously. Therefore, here in the 21st century we have imported many people still living in the 13th century. It was very foolish to import such people to live alongside us with all the conflict such a clash of cultures is bound to unleash.
