Probably because our economy is doing quite well and has overtaken France and unlike Germany we are not in recession. Neither of these countries are effected by Brexit. Even the EU itself is in recession and Ursula von de Leyen is touring the 27 EU members with a begging bowl hoping to raise €60billion to cover the EU budget.

It's not about the politicians being so unhappy with that decission, that they hold Referendum after Referendum untill they get the 'right' result ! That is an abuse of democracy and is how the EU and other dictatorships work, it shouldn't happen here in an ancient and much respected democracy.
