Much further back than 3,000 years the origins of the English and indeed all Brits , goes back 10,000 years on this island.

The word 'Nation' comes from the Latin word for being born of a race or ethnicity. Proffessor Hills the senior lecturer of Archeology at Cambridge University said in her book The Origins of the English, the first logical starting point for the origins of the English here, goes back 10,000 years. So can you really be a Native of this Nation without that lineage ?

@stephfoxwell4620 'British' isn't a nationality it's a geographical area and their are no 'First Nations' anywhere. Britain was not inhabited until the ice sheet melted 10,000 years ago and all the nations in Britain have DNA from these first inhabitants, including King Charles.
