@gordonmackenzie4512 It matters not that you dont like history or monarchy, it was the historical action of the Scottish monarchy that united us under one king and Parliament. However, you don't want to discus it because it undermines your anti English argument.

It's a matter of population sizes England is around 58 million. That's many times more than Scotlands 6million. Would you like Scott's to dominate their larger cousins ? That would be very undemocratic, especially as there are many Scots who live in England and don't get vote in Scotland.

@gordonmackenzie4512 Democracy comes from the Greek word Demos (people) krakos (power) which means the people vote and the largest vote represents the decisions of the people, all of them. The United Kingdom was created by the Scottish Stuart dynasty not the English, and we all have equal voting rights.

@gordonmackenzie4512 Also the EU is not as democratic as you think, the EU Comission who wields all the power is not democratically elected. MEPs are merely a sop to democracy in order to convince the naive that's its democratic. However unlike British MPs, EU MEPs have no power what so ever, all decission are made by the unelected Commission.

@gordonmackenzie4512 Not true, it's even more undemocratic than we are

@gordonmackenzie4512 England only remained a seperate country because the English refused to accept the Union for 100 years because they didnt want to lose their ancient Kingdom. However, eventually they did, and both countries lost their independence as a new country was created called Britain. After devolution, an EU idea imposed by the Scot Tony Bliar, England is further disadvantaged because the Scots and the Welsh have their own independent Parliaments, but not England.

@michellelewis3063 That sounds very much like the preferred actions of the European dictatorship.

@gordonmackenzie4512 What about all the Scots living in England and the many more of Scottish descent, they would become foreigners in their own country. Though in political terms it would release England from the unwanted yoke of Socialism elected in Scotland, but governing in England.

@gordonmackenzie4512 They are foreigners living in Spain, but they are not foreigners here, and so can still vote. Just as my French wife can vote in France but not here.

The advantages of Brexit have not been fully realised because our politicians only delivered a partial Brexit through gritted teeth. We now have an antidemocratic PM elected on only 20% who has always been against the largest democratic single issue decision in our history. Yet even without the backing of 80% of the electorate he is doing his best to reverse even that.

@davefave4351 Our biggest market is the USA, it's never been the EU
