  1. James McMurdock disputes the claim that he kicked his girlfriend 20 years ago outside a club. However, he does admit that they had a drunken fight which he deeply regrets. However, what ever happened is 20 years ago and he has never repeated this since, or has any further history of violence. Many Labour MPs have far worse records and even recent events, yet nothing is said and they certainly don't get punished or hounded as McMurdock is being.
