@JosiahJS976 Didn't the British also send their experienced troops from Egypt to help the Greeks and just at the time the Nazi's were sending troops to Egypt to reinforce the defeated Italians. This had two affects, 1st it weakened the British forces just when they were being attacked by a larger more experienced force. 2nd it led to the Nazis having to send reinforcements to Greece to help the Italians there too. Hitler later remarked that sending these troops stopped him taking Stlingrad before the winter, and lost him the war.
