@BauregardSenior87 Surely MG is the ONLY British marque owned by the Chinese not 'yet another one' ?

@ianmontgomery7534 Yes, Lotus is majority owned by the Chinese firm Geely. However, they are still headquartered and manufactured here in Britain. Where as MG is only headquartered here, all their manufacturing is in China unfortunately.

@GS-lf4rk Well yes EV production like many other manufacturing is all in China. But did you know that even German manufacturers like Audi use the same Chinese EV platform as MG, yet you pay a lot more for an Audi than you do an MG.

@Faulpelz55 No, actually they don't use German EV platforms. The development of the Volkswagen groups SSP platforms have been delayed and not expected to be available untill 2029. At the moment Audi are using the same Chinese platforms produced by SAIC as used on MG. But are also in talks with another Chinese manufacturer Geely who also produces the EV platforms for Volvo, Lotus and Smart .
