  1. Why should Britain be charged Reparations for the Transatlantic slave trade ? What a about the African who enslaved them in the first place and continue to do to this day ? What about the Portuguese who not only started the Transatlantic slave trade but continued long after the British had banned it ? What about the Arab slave traders, the longest slave traders in history ? Should the descendents of these African slaves repay the British for buying their ancestors freedom in 1837 ? British taxpayers who weren't even alive or benefitted from the slave trade still had to pay this massive bill right up untill 2014. Of all the countries who participated in the slave trade, only the British should be praised, if you want Reparations ask the African, Protuguese and Arabs, not the British.
