  1. I think this entire discussion skipped the importance of level setting terms and expectations. There were rarely any common grounds to spring board from to an indepth conversation based on the prompts provided. That said, it was still interesting to hear what women with varying thoughts had to say about modern feminism.

  2. Just an insight and perspective from a non-black here (I'm Filipino married to a White/Puerto Rican woman). I consider myself Pro-Filipino in the same way one claims to be Pro-Black in the most general sense. The level of my knowledge of my culture, pride for my people, love for my country and desire for the next Filipino-American and the community translates to a level of empathy and understanding for someone who attains the same level of pride and love for their own race. It's because of my awareness of the love I have for my race let's me understand and appreciate someone who is also pro of their own race. It's a beautiful thing. At the end we think this way because American society and culture keeps us in arms and defensive. But at the end, I will never give up being a humanitarian for being a patriotism/nationalism.
