My cat is a stray neutered male that kept showing up in the yard and staring at me but would not approach. Finally after months he came to me and climbed on me purring and kneading. I fell in love with him and brought him indoors where he's been for over 2 years. Except last week he escaped out the door (I was talking to a salesman and stupidly held the door open to talk) and he ran off into the dark. I spent hours looking for him until 2 am. I was crying my eyes out afraid and sad he was gone forever. Worst feeling in the world. Devastated. We hadn't realized how attached we were to him. I left my shirt and his litter box outside by the garage door in case he wandered by. I left the house doors open a crack. At almost 4 am we saw movement in the bedroom It was him! He came back! I gave him lots of love and a can of solid tuna as a reward. I love my kitty more than words can say.
