Lots of you MAGAs are misunderstanding what he said. He did not say "don't learn a trade." He said "College/education is for learning how to think, not how to learn a trade." Yes of course you can go to tech school to learn a trade but that is a very narrow education that won't teach you how to think. If all you want out of life is to be a tradesman then I guess go for it. But if you want to be able to think and reason and analyze things outside your trade then you will remain relatively uneducated and ignorant.

MAGAs, feel free to offer your solutions! Spoke to a guy with a brick-laying company. Said it has always been very difficult to get people to do the job in FL in summer and has always relied on migrant labor. With Desantis new law, he either shuts down or takes the risk of getting arrested for a felony. He’s risking it. He has visited trade schools and high schools, pays very well, takes care of his people. Still impossible to get enough Americans willing to lay brick in the FL summer heat. His migrant workers show up on time, work hard, never complain, take care of their families. -Ron Filipkowski
